Crystal Hunt, Drama Powerhouse

In 1991, there was a kung fu movie called Crystal Hunt. This was a low-budget film, but really it was quite good. It goes to show you don’t have to have a multi-billion dollar budget to make a decent movie. The Plot was a bit silly, but the fight scenes were amazing. The story goes on to tell about the hunt for a magic crystal that is supposed to cure a sick, old man. The search for this mystical trinket was wrought with perils as multiple parties are looking for the same thing. It stars a martial arts heavy hitter who goes by the name Donnie Yen. You might know his name from movies like Hero or Ip Man. If anything can be said about this movie, it keeps you entertained by the well-choreographed fight scenes.

During this time period, 1991, the cinema world was introduced to a fresh-faced, young actress sharing the same name as the aforementioned martial arts movie, Crystal Hunt. Born in 1985, the actress/producer would go on to have a good career. Crystal Hunt is probably best known for her roles as Stacy Morasco in One Life to Live, Dinky from the 2007 movie Sydney White, and Lauren from Magic Mike XXL in 2015.

Over her career, she has proven she is a force to be reckoned with in the drama world. It will be interesting to see what roles this drama diva lands in the near future. She would make a fine addition to any mainstream movie. The big screen would embrace more Crystal Hunt.
